Quick and Easy

Birthday Card

Birthday cards are always needed and sometimes you need them in less then a few hours! Do I have a card for you!

Supplies:

General scrapbook supplies are need and the following:

1- Close to my heart stamp "Piece of Cake"

1- Cardstock (For this demo the color is Rose)

1- Coordinating pattern paper

1/2 yard- coordinating ribbon

1- Bottle of liquid glass

1- index card (or a 3x5 piece of white cardstock)

Step 1: Cut your pattern down to 3 1/2 x 5 1/2 and with the scrap cut a 1 1/4 inch circle

Step 2: Cut your Cardstock down to 3 1/4 x 5 1/4 and with the scrap cut a 1 inch circle

Step 3: Adhere your 1 inch solid cardstock circle to your pattern paper circle, Adhere your solid square to your pattern paper square

Step 4: Stamp your image onto your index card (or a 3 x5 piece of white cardstock), Color in white colored pencil to match your pattern paper. Stamp your words to the solid circle to create a tag.

Step 5: Ink the daylights out of it! Ink the edge of the cardbase, ink the edge of the index card, inck the tag... More inking the better!

Step 6: Adhere the index card to the solid cardstock square and take that whole unit and adhere it to the cardbase.

Step 7: Wrap a piece of ribbon around the card and tie into a bow at the top. Punch a whole in your new tag and tie it into your bow.

Last step: Take your liquid glue and embellish... In the example I have used it for the plate, 2 beads at the bottom of the base and the flowers at the top... The embellishment part is up to you!

Go take your shower, get dressed, and the present wrapped and by that time the liquid has had time to dry and you have a great homemade card that everyone will think you took days to make!
